Frage: How would I go about purchasing a visa for my time there?
Hallo,
I will be backpacking in south east asia from 2nd November. Vietnam will be one of the countries I’ll be visiting. I have no dates as to when I will enter or leave the country but I plan on entering by bus or train. How would I go about purchasing a visa for my time there? I envisage staying there for at least 2 Wochen.

Danke, dass Sie uns kontaktiert haben.
Wir möchten dies gemäß dem neuen vietnamesischen Regierungserlass mitteilen, der in Kraft tritt 1 Juli 2015, Staatsangehörige des Vereinigten Königreichs sind von der Visumpflicht für Vietnam befreit 15 Tage einmaliger Eintrag. Um das Visum kostenlos zu genießen, der neue Eintrag Datum muss mehr sein als 30 Tage ab dem letzten Ausreisedatum in Vietnam.
Für Ihren Fall, we would like to list out 3 options:
1. If you only stay in Vietnam for 2 Wochen: das Visumbefreiung perfectly fits your schedule and no visa is required.
2. If you stay in Vietnam for more than 15 Tage, you must apply for a Vietnam visa by:
- Visiting Vietnam Embassies/ Consulates abroad: Since the visa on arrival is available for air travelers only, you must apply and get your visa before your trip to Vietnam at any Vietnam Embassy or Consulate nearest your place. Bitte Besuche hier für mehr Details.
- Enter Vietnam with your visa exemption right: this policy allows you to stay in Vietnam for 15 Tage ohne Visum. After this period, if you wish to stay longer, you can contact us to extend the length of stay for 15 more days. Please note: The processing time to extend takes 5-7 working days to finish, please arrange your time and contact us later if you need further support.
