Pregunta: How would I go about purchasing a visa for my time there?
Hola,
I will be backpacking in south east asia from 2nd November. Vietnam will be one of the countries I’ll be visiting. I have no dates as to when I will enter or leave the country but I plan on entering by bus or train. How would I go about purchasing a visa for my time there? I envisage staying there for at least 2 semanas.

We would like to inform that under the new Vietnam Government Decree which takes effect from 1 julio 2015, Los ciudadanos del Reino Unido están exentos de una visa de Vietnam dentro de 15 día de entrada único. Para disfrutar de la exención de visado, la nueva fecha de entrada debe ser más de 30 días desde la última fecha de salida en Vietnam.
Para su caso, we would like to list out 3 options:
1. If you only stay in Vietnam for 2 semanas: el exención de visado perfectly fits your schedule and no visa is required.
2. If you stay in Vietnam for more than 15 dias, you must apply for a Vietnam visa by:
- Visiting Vietnam Embassies/ Consulates abroad: Since the visa on arrival is available for air travelers only, you must apply and get your visa before your trip to Vietnam at any Vietnam Embassy or Consulate nearest your place. Por favor visitar aquí para más detalles.
- Enter Vietnam with your visa exemption right: this policy allows you to stay in Vietnam for 15 días sin visado. After this period, if you wish to stay longer, you can contact us to extend the length of stay for 15 more days. Please note: The processing time to extend takes 5-7 working days to finish, please arrange your time and contact us later if you need further support.
